Dear Families,
Please don't forget just because we can not physically go to school, school is still in session. It is imperative that your students are checking Google Classroom and completing the work. We have a Zoom meeting every morning Monday though Friday at 10 am. I am hoping to have 100% participation. I know how difficult this time is for everyone and we all have different challenges. I am trying to do my best to accommodate all situations with our school work. Please let me know if you are having difficulties. We have so many resources to sort through and see which ones work best. I wanted to share some idea that you could do possibly do at home with the kids, or check out and see if you are interested. Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is offering free interactive Zoom classes everyday at 1 o'clock. They currently have an improv class listed and a hip-hop dance class. Here is the link: https://lutherburbankcenter.org/lets-be-creative-with-lbc/ Our weekly art teacher Maria sent a list of art ideas that the kids could do from home. HERE ARE SOME FUN ART IDEAS YOU CAN DO AT HOME NOW.
As I find resources that are easy to access and may be of interest I will post them on Google Classroom as fun projects to do in addition to the classwork.

Hello Students & Families,
Let me begin by saying how much I miss you all and being in the classroom each day. After a week of trying things out and making sense of what is working and not working, still a work in progress, I have created what I believe to be an understandable flow. Hopefully all my super stars, yes that's you 3rd graders, have been on Google Classroom and figured out how to navigate the assignments. I had half of you on our ZOOM meeting on Friday, I am hoping that you all can join our next one 1 pm Tuesday. Here is the link: https://zoom.us/meeting the meeting ID is 616-551-552 After that meeting I would like for us to meet each day. Monday through Friday at 10 am for about an hour. Starting Wednesday, April 1, at 10 am Go to: https://zoom.us/meeting The meeting ID is 912-894-110 This will be the meeting ID for all future ZOOM meetings. I hope this will help with keeping in touch and giving a space for everyone to have their questions answered. Please go to Google Classroom to access all of our classwork! Here is a list of what I will be looking for by Friday, April 3 :) Watersheds (just watch) Watersheds 2 (comment) Khan Academy Fractions (I will be checking Khan Academy Report to see what you have done) Reflex (Green Light Monday through Friday, that means getting a green light each day) What is a Pandemic? I hope you are all healthy and keeping busy! Know that I love you all and miss you! See you on ZOOM soon! Hello Families!
Well our first week of distance learning is underway! So far so good although the learning curve for all of us is steep! So no worries, we will all do the best we can to make this successful. As time moves forward we all will only get better at it! Make sure to give yourselves, your children and me time to adjust to this new way of learning. I am available for questions and concerns, feedback and of course what is working well for you. Couple of important reminders: Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 am - 12 pm Brown Bag drive through at the back parking lot of the school, this is also where you can pick up any needed curriculum and school supplies. Google Classroom is how I will be relaying all classroom information and assignments, please make sure that your student is checking their Google Classroom account daily. I also have signed up for the remind app, hopefully you all received an invitation. This is new to me so please give me a moment to figure it out :). Hopefully this will be an easy way to send out information! I hope you all are well, miss all my wonderful students, love to all! |
